How Brands win
AT ENTERTAINMENT

Entertainment is emotion. And emotion builds brands.

You know that interruption is out and entertainment is in. You're curious about developing and investing in original characters, worlds and stories that your customers can connect with across socials, cinema, TV and beyond. But a bigger swing means bigger risk and, all too often, you've seen results that are underwhelming.

Truth is, most Brand Entertainment fails before a single frame is shot. The cause is rarely the creative or the production. It traces right back to the brief.

Story and character built from a brand's evergreen, emotional DNA is the difference between content that builds lasting equity and an investment that ages as quickly as audiences press skip. This is where we're experts. We help brands build new or existing IP into worlds and culture that engage their audience on an emotional level.

BOTH WORLDS

is it really that
DEEP?

Brand Entertainment has a sensitive soul.

Traditional advertising briefs lead with product, message and campaign objectives for a defined, and relatively short, timeframe. When it comes to truly impactful Brand Entertainment, we need to lead with the heart.

A good Brand Entertainment brief centres emotion, meaning and cultural connection. Short term timelines or quick wins aren't compatible. Instead, we're settling in for depth and long-term relationship building between audience and character.

The brands winning in this space, building genuine cultural relevance and long-term equity through content, have one thing in common. They brief differently. They brief like storytellers.

Anastasia Marshall. All about the drama.

I'm a Brand Entertainment creative and I specialise in film and series development, with experience in brand and scripted development. In essence, a total nerd for story structure, compelling characters and bringing the beating heart of a brand to life through emotional, unforgettable scenes.

My career began in scripted development at Disney, the BBC and many of the UK's indies, on beloved drama and comedy. â€‹Since moving into the brand space, I've worked with brand teams at Unilever, Canva and IKEA, and delivered workshops and strategy sessions through Creative UK, the London Screenwriters' Festival, and Women in Film & TV.

The unique framework I teach to brands, and to filmmakers, brings everyone onto the same page for aligned and effective creative development. And this Brief Writing Workshop is how I bring that directly into your team, so you can dive into Brand Entertainment feeling confident and inspired.
