Co-Founder / Business Development Executive
Rebel Muse is a new media production company that strives to challenge and inspire audiences with provocative storytelling. Our output is primarily in online, television drama and film, but the boundaries between platforms are blurring every day. We see no limits to our creativity and are excited by new opportunities in technology. We are searching for a business development leader to help grow the company, so that we may reach the widest audience possible.
A self-motivated lover of media with a desire to incite positive social and cultural change over key issues, including classism, environmentalism, racism and poverty. You are an original thinker who isn’t afraid of numbers, with an analytical mind and a perfectionist streak. Networking is one of your greatest strengths. Knowledge of film & TV finance or media distribution would be hugely beneficial. Practical knowledge of production is not required but a love for compelling content and storytelling is crucial.
Your main role as BDE will be to help outline a new and bold business strategy and identify revenue opportunities in an ever-changing landscape. Creating unforgettable content is our priority, but we can only continue to do that if the business foundations are solid. Rebel Muse has philanthropic interests at its core and aims to support vital causes, both with our services and financially.
Day to day, your role will be varied and evolve as the company grows. You will be researching and reaching out to potential clients/partners, pitching to agencies and networks, raising funding for feature films, as well as taking an active role in the company’s smooth running and set up. You will be setting goals for performance and growth, monitoring cash-flow and forecasts, devising new and innovative ways to sell our IP, and building a brand recognised by industry and audiences alike.
As a start-up, salaries will depend on targets being hit and investment being secured (this is the same for the founder/creative director). After a review period, we shall discuss the option of you becoming a shareholder and official co-founder of the company.
Benefits include flexible working hours and location (though you will need to be in London 1-2 days a week for meetings) and unlimited holiday.
